Location
All land is sacred, but the location we will be going to has a special place in many of our hearts. It's not only the large rocks that make a natural dance floor, it's the shared memories of past events that have taken place there. Personally I will never forget the meteor storm that me and about 300 other people got to see, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
With so many shared memories this spot is truly a home away from home. It's your home as well and I have faith that you'll treat it that way.
Personally I try to leave with more than what I came with. By that I mean I do my best to pick up any trash I see and take it with me when I leave.
I understand everyone doesn't have the room to do this so if you can't pack out what you pack in, please drop off any trash you have or find next to the DJ booth and someone will take care of it.
What to expect weather-wise
Of course it's too early to tell, but usually this time of year it's cold at night and very nice during the day. I've been out there in November and the difference between night and day was barely noticeable — and I've also been out there when I needed a USB heat pad in my jacket to stay warm.
I'll post what we can expect as we get closer to the date, but to be safe never trust the weather report and just come prepared for cold nights and hot days.
Pets
We will be on BLM (Bureau of Land Management) or public land — land that has been set aside for public use. This means the land is as much yours as it is mine. That also means we are not responsible for each other's actions.
That being said, I feel it's best if pets are left at home. I know that's not always possible considering we plan to be out there all weekend, but a loud sound system in a new environment with a bunch of strangers might not be the best place for a dog.
I had a friend who brought her dog to lots of desert gatherings. One time her dog got in a fight with a cactus that had needles about 2.5 inches long. I can say it wasn't fun for those of us involved in helping to remove them.
